Hello & thank you for your interest!
In my professional life, I've attended more workshops than I can begin to count. Strategy workshops. Product ideation sessions. Brainstorming. You name it. Along with leading my own sessions, I've also taught others to run workshops or helped those who were about to hold a session themselves. Thanks to all this exposure to workshops from a variety of perspectives- I've noticed a few things that tend to work well and a few that always seem to go wrong. For this course, I've taken a systematic look at workshops: What does a workshop need to be successful? What facilitation tips can make anyone a confident moderator? This course is the culmination of all these years of insights combined with many practical tips to get you started.
This course will cover the following:
Walk you through the general structure of a workshop ( the workshop formula)
Explain straightforward practical exercises for each step
Give you practical tips to help things run smoothly
Short quizzes to apply what you learned
You'll love this course if:
You want to run a workshop soon. And I mean workshop, not just a long meeting.
You haven't had much experience facilitating yet and can benefit from practical tips and hacks.
You want to grow your professional skillset
Who this course is for:
- Employees in a business context who don't yet have a lot of experience planning and conducting interactive sessions.
I'm a researcher and designer who loves to work with others on solving gritty problems in new and creative ways.
I've run workshops on a variety of topics: design thinking, business strategy, brand development... I like to take a meta view and teach what I learned: What can I abstract from these sessions that might be useful for other people or in other contexts? I hope you'll find my contributions valuable.
