    Hey there, my fellow designer. My name is Chethan and I am a Self-Taught Designer from India. I have been doing a lot of creative work as a hobby for the past 5 years and dabbled in various domain of Design such as Graphic Design, Motion Graphics, Video Editing, Film Making and UI/UX Design. Now, I work as a Full Time UI/UX Designer!

    I've made this course for complete beginners. There is no need to have any previous knowledge of Illustrator or After Effects. We'll start at the super basics. We will take a look at the Material Design Guidelines by Google and Downloaded a few resources. Then, we will get started in Illustrator and Design all the 5 Icons. Once we design them, we will export them from Illustrator and import them into After Effects to Animate them and bring them to life :)

    Is this Video, we will take a look at a online platform for designers called Designers where we can see my Inspiration for creating this course. In April 2016, Jonathan Chung from Google had created an Animation which we will be recreating in this course. We will also install a Browser Extension called GIF Scrubber that helps us to navigate the GIF easily and pause at the exact moment and play it like a video.

Requirements

  • You will need a copy of Adobe Illustrator & After Effects CC 2017 or above. A Free Trail can be downloaded for both these programs.
  • No previous After Effects or Illustrator skills are needed. Although basic knowledge of Illustrator and After Effects will make this course easier to follow.
