In short, Cyber Security is the protection of the integrity and confidentiality of the life lived on cyber networks, the infrastructure of which is information systems.
Information security and cyber security are often used interchangeably but are different from each other. Information security is defined as the protection of the integrity, security and confidentiality of information and its boundaries are drawn with globally accepted standards such as ISO 27001, ITIL, COBIT. However, it is a much broader concept that includes information security, the infrastructure of which is information systems.

When we look at the concept of cyber security from the perspective of institutions, companies and SMEs, the concept of information security comes first. “Data / information” comes first among the assets owned by institutions. Many standards have been established in the global world for information security, which is of critical importance for institutions.
