Description

This complete Customs Broker course provides an in-depth and practical training in customs clearance, import and export operations, trade compliance, and international logistics. Designed for professionals and students who want to work in global trade, this program covers the essential frameworks used by customs authorities and companies worldwide to manage cross-border transactions efficiently and legally.

You will start with the foundations of foreign trade, international regulatory systems, and key organizations such as the WTO, UNCTAD, and other global institutions that influence trade rules. The course then moves into core operational topics such as Incoterms, shipping documentation, import/export workflows, and customs procedures.

A major focus of the training is tariff classification using the Harmonized System (HS Code) and NCM, including the General Rules of Interpretation, Common External Tariff research, and classification strategies to avoid errors, penalties, and costly delays. You will also learn practical approaches to classification involving product description, packaging, brand elements, and commercial specifications.

The program advances into special customs regimes such as temporary admission, drawback, customs transit, bonded warehouses, and strategic planning for the most cost-effective regime selection. Practical modules explore customs systems such as SISCOMEX, inspection and physical verification procedures, and licensing requirements involving Inmetro, MAPA, and accredited laboratories.

Additional modules cover customs valuation under the WTO Agreement, administrative procedures, penalties, compliance deadlines, and appeal processes. Logistics and supply chain units explore multimodal transport, cargo consolidation, distribution center operations, and modern technologies such as WMS, RFID, X-ray/gamma-ray scanning, and automated cross-docking.

Risk management and compliance are integrated throughout the course, including cargo insurance, guarantees, currency hedging, export credit insurance, and banking compliance. Financial topics include trade finance instruments such as letters of credit (UCP 600), documentary collections (URC 522), and export financing structures.

By the end of this course, you will be prepared to operate as a customs broker professional, improve trade compliance, reduce customs risks, optimize international logistics, and manage efficient global supply chain operations.
