My first introduction to service was in the early 2000s; I was always fascinated by “what makes customer service great,” and my career naturally steered from Marketing to Service to Customer Experience (CX). Since then, I have spent many years serving customers and clients in different roles. I was privileged to learn from many great institutions, teachers, mentors, and colleagues. However, I was (still am) overwhelmed by the amount of online information and frustrated by the lack of honest, practical information presented by people who have never faced an angry customer but purely packaged theory to train generic service concepts.
I wanted to help small businesses, start-ups, and people who do not have time to sift through content to find valuable customer experience material. I wanted to create high-impact and quality resources that would provide step-by-step practical ways to give even the least experienced server confidence in handling any customer interaction.
