  • Intro to Cura3:05

CURA is a free, commonly used "SLICER" program, to turn 3D Models, into Printable GCODE files. Let's Install it, and learn how to use it! The latest version, is included here.

  • Viewing your model with the Cura Camera3:04

How to move the Cura camera, to adjust your viewing angle, of the model

  • Cura Model Movement & understanding Color coding6:26

How to Physically move your model, and read the various Color shading, of our 3D Model

  • Model Duplication & Orientation6:51

We will learn how to duplicate, and orientate our models

  • Scaling your models6:59

Let's learn to Scale our models, proportionately, and disproportionately

  • Intro to Cura Profiles1:53

What is a Cura profile, and what does it do?

  • INFILL: What it is. What it does. How to use it.9:18

Before saving your GCODE, and sending a file to your printer, it is CRITICAL that you preview it carefully.

  • TEMP & SPEED8:26

Setting your TEMP & SPEED can be the difference between success and failure. Let's have a look at it.

  • Intro To Supports13:54
  • TREE Support5:13

There are times where "NORMAL" Supports are not ideal for our model. Some models may call for more complex supports. Specifically, supports that avoid contact with the model itself. For times like this, "TREE" supports, may be a better option.

  • Understanding & Controlling, your Z-SEAM11:12

Understanding your Z-SEAM, is super important, for a clean looking print. Setting this properly, can be the difference between ugly scars, and a clean visual. I'm going to walk you through the decision making process, of where, and HOW, to set your Z-Seam location. You may practice, or follow along, with the attached model. *IMPORTANT* This Model is for personal use only. It is *NOT* licensed for Commercial use.

  • BED SINKING: Four Scenerios where you may want to use it. (Bonus: Bambu Studio!)12:16

A look at Bed Sinking, and why you may want to use it. I'll show you in CURA (5.3.1) *AND* Bambu Studio.

  • Multi Material Printing with Cura (and Meshmixer)14:17

I am going to teach the basics, of how to Cut, and Merge, a 3D Model, to assign different parts, to different extruders, for Multi-Color Prints, using a Dual Extruder Printer, such as the SOVOL SV02

  • Configure your GCODE to use the ABL Mesh1:26
  • Using AUTO TOWERS, to dial in Printer/Filament settings, for better Quality8:13

Requirements

  • Own a 3D Printer such as a Creality Ender 3, CR10, or other similar brand/model
  • Have CURA Installed

Description

3D Printing is tough stuff. Learning to use your printer, is only half the battle. There is also complex software to be learned.

3D Printing, requires the use of a program, known as a "Slicer", to convert an STL file, into a file that can be read by a 3D Printer. This file, is a set of instructions, the printer follows, to print your model. This file, is known as a "GCODE" file.

ULTIMATER "CURA" is a widely used program, by 3D Printers world wide, as it is powerful, and 100% FREE. In this course, we will be working with CURA, to teach you everything you need, to download an STL, and print it properly

Slicing an STL file, into a working GCODE, that will print successfully, is complicated, and can become extremely frustrating. I will walk you through the most important functions of Ultimaker Cura, in small, easy to follow lectures. Each lecture, will teach you a vital component, of working with STL files, in Cura, to help you understand how prepare a GCODE file, for printing success.

This course, is tought in a slow, detailed, plain language manner. New users should be able to follow along, to learn from scratch, while current users, should expect to improve their current knowledge.

Who this course is for:

  • NEW Bambu Printer users, looking to learn from scratch
  • Current 3D Printer users, looking to improve their results
  • CURA Users, looking to move to Bambu Studio
