Start producing music in Cubase Pro 10 - One of the best DAW in the industry!
This course guides you step by step on how create a song from scratch in Cubase Pro 10 using some of its powerful virtual instruments libraries such as HALion, Retrologue and Prologue. To make it fun we are producing a remake of the famous song 24K Magic by Bruno Mars. Instead of having to watch a video to know how to use an specific function of the software, we start to build the song from scratch choosing the best sounds available and learning the main tools along the way to get a very similar and professional sound.

About Me
I am an enthusiastic Audio Engineer, Electronic Engineer and Music Producer with over twelve years of experience in recording, mixing, post-production, sound design and business skills.
I worked in Soho Sonic Studios in London recording, mixing and mastering audio for well-known acts. Some of my high-profile clients included Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje, Lisa Stansfield, Keane, Mica Paris and David Hentschel. In audio postproduction, I have worked VO sessions for brands such as Samsung, KPMG, British Museum, DHL, Habitat, Charlie&Wolf and Major Lazer TV series.
Since 2016, I’m a certified trainer of Steinberg software and hardware products such as Cubase, Nuendo and Wavelab. Also, I'm a lecturer for the audiovisual production department of a well know university, teaching subjects including: Digital Audio, Digital Signal Processing, Sound Design, Audio Production and Acoustics.

Instructor
Alejandro Valdés is a music producer, composer and sound designer with more than 12 years of experience in the music and audio industry.
He has been a recording session musician for several Hispanic and British artists. In Colombia, he has participated in the main musical festivals such as Mono Nuñez and Petronio Álvarez, winning the latter together with the group Sin Nombre Son in free modality in 2009. In England he has worked as a guitarist with musicians such as Perry Melius (Billy OCean ), Dale Davis (Amy Winehouse) and Ashley Kingsley at Metropolis Studios.
In 2012, after completing a master's degree in audio production at the University of Westminster in London, Alejandro gained more experience working as an Audio Engineer at Soho Sonic Studios where he had the opportunity to work with British acts such as Lisa Stansfield, Keane, Mica Paris , Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje (The Mummy Returns, The Bourne Identity, Lost, Game of Thrones), Mike Skinner (The Streets), David Henstchel, Lethal Bizzle, Shakka, Kwabs among others. He has also participated as a recording and mixing engineer for commercials of brands such as Samsung, Habitat, British Museum, KPMG and DHL.
Since 2016 he becomes the official coach of the German audio brand Steinberg for Colombia. This has allowed him to offer certification courses in the country aimed at people interested in the company's recognized hardware and software products such as Cubase, Nuendo and Wavelab.
At the beginning of the year 2019 he traveled to the city of Hamburg in Germany to deepen the field of audio mastering in an intensive seminar of the Mastering-Academy given by the renowned engineer Friedemann Tishmeyer.
Alejandro is currently working as an audio teacher at the Professional Drawing Academy Foundation and as a director at Mixbooth Studios, where he is dedicated to the production, recording and mixing of music, as well as sound design for commercials and interactive media for companies such as Harinera del Valle . He has participated as a mixing engineer in productions of local artists such as Espiral7, Cuba Libre Son, Aria Y Memoria, Andres García, Silvia Baoli, Beteguma Son among others.
