Description
Are you curious about Crypto? You have heard about Crypto being the foundation of the next Internet revolution. And you do not want to miss out on this revolution. But then you do not know how to start.
If so, this course is right for you.
You will start by learning about crypto at a high level. What is the promise of the crypto approach and why is crypto going to power the next Internet revolution. You will learn about the types of problems that are best solved using the crypto approach. You will also be exposed to reasons that people give to support their claim that crypto is a scam. And you will see how crypto is expanding both in terms of creation of wealth as well as in terms of the number of users.
Then in the second part of the course you will focus on learning about the Bitcoin blockchain. You will learn about wallets and get hands-on experience in sending and receiving BTC. I also explain the basic concepts of Bitcoin in this part of the course. So you will understand the concept of blockchains, Proof-of-Work (POW) Mining and Consensus by the time you finish this part of the course.
In the final part of the course, you will focus on the Ethereum blockchain. You will get hands-on experience in sending and receiving ETH using a wallet. You will learn about the basic concepts of Ethereum such as smart contracts, validators and Proof of Stake (POS) in this part of the course. You will then be able to compare and contrast the concepts underlying Bitcoin and Ethereum blockchains.

I have founded several companies including the latest in the space of Crypto. I also teach crypto courses at Harrisburg University. I have taught at several other universities in the past including at UPenn, Stevens, Rutgers etc.
