Reziliența este obiectivul final suprem în vremurile dificile. Vrem ca copiii noștri să „învețe rezilienta sau cum sa fie rezistenti in situatii de criza”.

Noi toți vrem să devenim noi înșine „mai rezistenți”; auzim despre comunitățile rezistente. Dar ce înseamnă de fapt rezistența - și cum cultivăm mai mult din ea?

„Reziliența este capacitatea unei persoane, a unei comunități, a unei familii sau a unei economii de a se adapta cu succes la provocări”, spune Ann Masten, profesor de dezvoltare a copilului la Universitatea din Minnesota și autor al mai multor cărți despre reziliență. „Reziliența la oameni implică multe procese și mai multe sisteme, care este unul dintre motivele pentru care oamenii sunt atât de adaptabili”.
