Teaching children, and now training teachers to be their most effective, is my professional mission. I'm a lifelong educator born in Ohio, transplanted to Georgia, and recently returned to California. During my career, I have been a teacher, professor, curriculum writer, trainer and administrator. I've contributed to an written books Reading, Informational Text, Coaching Teachers, and Classroom Management. In addition to being a special and regular education teacher to students in grades K – 8; I have presented nationally, state-wide, and locally on education topics.
I've observed over 500 classrooms across the United States, and provided guided feedback. I hold a B.S. in Special and Elementary Education, and a M.Ed. in Educational Administration: Curriculum, Instruction, and Professional Development. I'm a proud parent of three grown daughters, and three grandchildren!
