After years of sheer hard work and struggle, he finally established The Grand Bahama Port Authority Limited, which is now considered one of the most established free-ports in the world!

It is very important for one to realize the vital role that a vision plays in turning simple ideas into reality, where it is the ability to see not only the problems, but the opportunities hidden behind those problems. It’s not about how much you have, it’s about what more can you do and how can you efficiently utilize what you have.

This video is all about knowing about the values and vision of the Grand Bahama Port Authority and what has been our driving force which has made all the accomplishments possible. Well, who would be a better person to talk about this than the man himself, Mr. Ian B.A. Rolle, the President of The Grand Bahama Port Authority. These values and vision once established by Wallace Grooves, still lives today in the form of the structure, executives and workforce of GBPA, where all those who’re associated with the system in one way or the other have these values instilled in them. 

It’s time that we dig deeper into the kind of work that Grand Bahama Port Authority does. Whether we talk about its contribution in the education sector or tourist industry, GBPA has made sure that their area progresses towards greater economic growth. A key role has been played by the 99-year Hawksbill Creek Agreement (HCA) signed between GBPA and the government  for not only the development of a new port and industrial area but also for establishment of several facilities like passenger ships, schools, hospitals, government accommodations, roads, bridges, and other necessary investment and maintenance.
