This course is your practical, step-by-step guide to creating accessible websites and web interfaces. At the end of this course, you will be able to make your portfolio accessible and offer your clients a website upgrade that adheres to web accessibility standards! In addition, since all government websites must be accessible, you will have the skills to work in that field and gain access to a greater amount and variety of clients!

Instructor
I specialize in creating and testing websites and apps to ensure they are as accessible as possible for everyone. I’m skilled in accessible coding practices and use screen readers and other assistive tech to test and improve digital experiences rigorously. Beyond engineering, I’m passionate about teaching others—I've developed a variety of educational resources to help teams and individuals understand and implement accessibility best practices. I aim to make digital spaces more inclusive and barrier-free for all users.
I have worked at Fortune 500 companies such as Microsoft, Airbnb, and Paramount, as an Accessibility Subject Matter Expert.
I have created courses on accessibility, teaching over 25,000 students on Udemy, WAI-ARIA, WCAG and accessibility best practices.
I have a strong command of WCAG (Web Content Accessibility Guidelines), ensuring that my work aligns with the latest standards for accessible web design. I also know that making a website WCAG conformant doesn’t mean the website is accessible. It takes a lot of work to make something inclusive for as many people as possible, and the work is never “finished”.
I'm deeply committed to the mission of accessibility, which is why I create free tutorials on the subject, write about it, and mentor others.
