Learn to create a stylized landscape environment using Unreal Engine 5 and Blender, covering stylized grass, foliage, rocks, clouds, and trees, with texturing in Substance Painter.
Create a stylized Unreal Engine 5 landscape with a blank project and simple lighting. Configure runtime virtual textures for base color and height to enable seamless transitions.
Create a landscape master material in Unreal Engine 5 with runtime virtual textures and a four-layer color blend for ground and grass.
Model grass in Blender to build a stylized Unreal Engine 5 environment, using a reference mannequin, duplicating strands into clumps, unwrapping, fixing normals, and exporting for a master grass material.
Develop a grass master material in Unreal Engine 5 that colors grass from a landscape via runtime virtual texture, adds gradient-controlled color and wind-driven motion with a masked gradient.
Create flower textures for Unreal Engine 5 by building base color and alpha textures in Photoshop, then export as targa and use a mask for transparency.
This lecture teaches creating low-poly flower models in Blender using reference images, extruding petals, adding alpha masks to hide edges, UV unwrap, and preparing textures for import into Unreal Engine.
Finish the flower cluster by duplicating and arranging petals and leaves, align origins, apply normals, export as FBX, import into Unreal Engine, and organize textures and materials for the scene.
Create and refine the flower material in Unreal Engine 5 by importing an alpha mask, enabling masked blend mode, adjusting roughness, specular, and applying a color tint via material instance.
Configure a post-processing volume to achieve a flat, stylized look by adjusting exposure, bloom, temperature, tint, vignette, and saturation, while lighting with a top sun for minimal shadows.
Create stylized clouds by extracting alpha masks from cloud images in Photoshop, export cloud alpha textures, and build a reusable Unreal Engine material with opacity, depth fade, and emission.
Create and refine cloud textures in Photoshop, extract clean alphas, and implement them in Unreal Engine 5 with material instances to achieve stylized and realistic cloud looks.
Set up cloud alphas and textures in Unreal Engine 5, creating multiple cloud material instances for varied, stylized clouds. Adjust scale, position, and opacity to refine the look.
Learn to model stylized rocks in Blender by using subdivision surface and displacement with a Voronoi texture, convert to mesh, decimate geometry, and prepare assets for Unreal Engine 5.
This lecture covers UV unwrap and triangulation of rocks in Blender, exporting as FBX or OBJ, then texturing in Substance Painter using mesh maps and masks for Unreal Engine.
Texture and refine stylized rocks by adding an edges layer with smart masks, then layer stains, lichens, and scratches using tiling and roughness variation in Unreal Engine 5.
Export stylized rocks and textures to Unreal Engine 5, then place rocks with foliage and moss masks to create a varied, tinted environment.
Adjust grass colors in the landscape material, then create two stylized trees using Blender's Sapling add-on, convert them to meshes, and bake bark textures in Substance Painter for Unreal Engine.
Create tree leaves by duplicating and rotating planes into clumps, join and export to Unreal Engine, then build a leaf master material using a leaf alpha texture.
Disable virtual textures on texture import, reimport textures, disable sRGB for pack textures, set sampler to linear color, and connect normal, ambient occlusion, roughness, metallic maps in Unreal Engine 5.
Create a stylized leaf material in Unreal Engine 5 by adjusting specular, roughness, and emission to control highlights. Tweak wind, billboard size, and world position offset for fluffy, well-lit leaves.
Create and refine multiple stylized trees by adding leaves, materials, and color variations. Export to Unreal Engine 5, import, and arrange them with varied scales for a clean, engaging scene.
Capture portfolio screenshots and create camera animations using level sequences in Unreal Engine 5, then render the sequences for portfolio use.
Hello everyone, and welcome to this new course. In this course, we will go over the entire process of creating a Stylized Landscape Environment
With the help of this course, you can massively increase your skills in Stylized Environment Art, as we go through multiple different aspects of it together like creating stylized grass, trees, rocks and much more
You will get:
22 Full HD video lectures with over 7 hours of content and AUDIO commentary
All the files related to the course including .blend files, unreal project files, substance files, alphas, textures etc
We will mainly use only two pieces of software: Unreal Engine 5 and Blender, with a little bit of Substance Painter, to texture a couple of assets
In this course, you will learn everything you need to know to create the final results that you see in the course images and trailers. With the help of that, you can create your very own beautiful stylized environments
This course has 7 hours of content, and all the required files such as the alphas, textures, blender files, etc will be provided with the course, including the Unreal Project!
We will go over every step in this course together, and nothing will be skipped. The course does not have any kind of time lapse, so you can follow every step easily
The course is mainly divided into 5 sections as we step-by-step create this beautiful-looking stylized landscape. Starting with setting up the Landscape Material and Stylized Grass in Section-1, Section-2 will cover the process of creating Stylized Foliage, following up with modelling and texturing Stylized Rocks in Section-3, In Section-4 we will learn to create Clouds for our scene, creating various different variations of them, and finally ending the course with learning to create fluffy-looking Stylized Trees
We will finish the course by taking some Hi-Res Portfolio screenshots along with some camera animations.
