I began working as a Birth Doula in 2012. I am an experienced Midwife Assistant and Childbirth Educator. I have attended 300+ births. I was trained by Ina May's team of midwives at The Farm as a midwife assistant. My birth philosophy is that there is not one “perfect” way to birth, rather each woman must meet birth in her own way at that moment. Over the years, I have found that a woman who understands the process of birth, feels safe and is supported by a helpful team, will birth quickly and ultimately feel empowered by her experience rather then be traumatized. So ensuring that your team understands your goals and understands their roll and how to help you, will lead to a successful birth experience!
My goal is to empower women to trust their intuition, to trust their bodies, to birth from a place of calm surrender rather then fear. I want women to feel like they took on Mount Everest and conquered!
