I have degrees in Human Resources Management and a Master's Degree in Business Leadership. I recently retired from a career managing training institutions in the Vocational Education Sector in South Africa. My main client base was employers in heavy industry, mining, and petrochemical. Our job was to train apprentices and operators for these clients. Being a developing country, our learners regarded their opportunity at our training institutions as a golden opportunity to better themselves. As trainers and managers, we didn't want to disappoint them - we wanted to give them our best. When COVID struck in 2020, we wanted to take all steps necessary to ensure that no one was left behind and we devised ways to use PowerPoint animations to continue to deliver some of our content online.
