Learn to create repeatable patterns in Adobe Photoshop, starting with simple, colorful leaf designs you can paint and apply to walls or fabrics.
Draw a leaf on a new layer, refine its shape with liquify warp, fill with green using the paint bucket and gradient, then duplicate for variations to make repeatable patterns.
Color leaves in Photoshop using edit fill with preserve transparency, then duplicate with alt/option and apply greens, dark greens, and browny yellow colors.
Add leaf details to repeatable patterns in Adobe Photoshop by using a hard brush, sampling greens, and preserving transparency to layer striped and dotted textures.
Convert all pattern layers to smart objects, preview the pattern, and then arrange, scale, rotate, and duplicate leaves to craft a repeatable Photoshop pattern.
Define the pattern in Photoshop by going to File > Define pattern, name it if you want, and click okay to create a reusable pattern.
Define a pattern from an image using an adjustment pattern layer, then scale, rotate, duplicate, and blend repeats with opacity tweaks and modes like multiply, overlay, and soft light.
Create stripe patterns in Photoshop by drawing rectangles, filling colors on separate layers with preserve transparency, and defining the pattern for flexible angle and scale adjustments.
Apply a pattern as an effect by using pattern overlay in layer styles on text, choosing from leaves, strawberry, and guitar patterns, then apply other effects.
Create a social media post for Wild Jazz at the Blue Note by building non-traditional patterns from a simple saxophone photo, using multiple layers, adjustment layers, and gradient maps.
Start a 2000-by-2000 Photoshop document and enable the pattern preview to create a repeatable pattern using text like 'wild jazz' and alt/option duplications, then define the pattern.
Convert the text's adjustment layer to a smart object, then apply edit transform warp with a chosen grid to bend and stylize the type for a wild, jazzy look.
