Description

Want to create a fully animated, game-ready first-person character but don't know where to start? This course walks you through the entire process step by step, from the ground up, so you end up with a system you actually understand and can reuse in your own projects.

You'll start by building smooth, responsive movement: walking, running, jumping, and crouching that reacts properly to player input. From there, you'll set up a basic blend space to smoothly connect all your movement animations together, so transitions between states feel natural instead of jarring.

Once the core movement is solid, you'll move into more advanced systems. You'll implement Aim Offset, giving your character realistic upper-body aiming that blends smoothly with the existing animations, and set up Foot IK, so your character's feet automatically adjust to slopes, stairs, and uneven terrain instead of clipping through the ground or floating above it. These are the kinds of details that separate a rough prototype from something that genuinely feels like a finished game.

Finally, you'll add turn-in-place animations, so your character never looks stiff or robotic when rotating on the spot, the finishing touch that ties the whole system together.

Every mechanic is explained clearly and built live during the course, so you're not just following along blindly. You'll understand why each system works the way it does, which means you'll be able to modify, extend, and adapt everything to fit your own game's needs long after the course is over.

Whether you're building your first FPS project or want to sharpen your character animation skills, this course gives you a solid, professional foundation to build on.
