    This lecture will guide you through the U.S. Customs and Border Protection process for incoming shipments. We'll begin with Import Security Filing (ISF), also known as 10+2, which covers the fundamental regulations and potential penalties ($5,000 USD) associated with importing goods into the U.S. Additionally, we will review the essential custms clearance documentation (form 3461 & 7501) required to finalize the entry process for imported goods.

    This lecture will cover the critical requirements for importing goods into the United States, beginning with the Import Security Filing (ISF), also known as 10+2, which must be submitted before a shipment departs its origin. We will discuss the specific documentation required, the deadlines for submission, and the potential penalties for late or inaccurate filings. In addition to ISF, we will also delve into pre-importation requirements, including the necessity of a Customs Bond with a minimum surety of $50,000 USD, mandated by US CBP/DHS. To facilitate the ISF and Bond processes, a Power of Attorney (POA) must be executed by a PRINCIPAL, Officer of the Importer of Record (IOR), or the company Owner, granting authority to act on their behalf.     Once a shipment is en route to the US, but before it arrives, the required import documentation is submitted to a licensed Customs House Broker to file the Entry for Importation. After Customs clearance is granted, indicated by a "1C" notification, final arrangements are made and necessary documents prepared to dispatch a truck and retrieve the goods.
