  • Introduction0:44

Learn practical crane and hoist safety for common shop and vehicle-based equipment. Understand certification limits for mobile and tower cranes and train the brain to lift safely.

  • Thank you1:38

Conduct daily and periodic crane inspections, keep forms, and inspect the track. Park crane away from people, never lift over others, verify load stabilization, maximum capacity, and practice hand signals.

  • Knots10:09

Assess how knots and rigging angles affect max capacity in crane and hoist work, including chokers, side loading, and pin issues; understand the 135-degree angle and capacity reductions.

  • Hand Signals6:36

Master essential crane and hoist hand signals, including hoist up and down, bridge and trolley travel, boom control, emergency stop, and using the main hoist or whip line.

Master crane and hoist safety by following designated hand signals, maintaining clear communication, and enforcing no rides on loads, with high-visibility clothing, crush zones awareness, and slow, controlled lifts.

  • Tagliners5:50

Learn how to control loads with taglines and two-person guidance to prevent swinging, test rigging, communicate clearly, and safely park and store cranes to avoid hazards.
