Dex Yuan is seasoned security professional with more than 20 years of experience in the public and private security sectors.
He started his career with the Singapore Police Force in 1996. He left the public sector in 2001 to join Agilent Technologies as a security executive, before joining Avago Technologies as the APAC workplace services and security manager.
In 2008, he joined Resorts World At Sentosa (RWS) as the pioneer team to set up the security of the 1st integrated resort in Singapore.
He left RWS in 2013 to join SP PowerGrid, a utility company with the largest number of critical infrastructures in Singapore. As the Deputy Director of Security, he managed the security of the entire powergrid in Singapore.
Dex was the honorary chairman of ASIS International (Singapore Chapter) from 2017 to 2018. He is currently the Assistant Regional Vice-President (Region 13B).
Dex holds various academic and professional certifications, including the Master of Business Administration (MBA), Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Certified Protection Professional (CPP) and Project Management Professional (PMP). He is also a Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) practitioner and an Advanced Certificate in Training & Assessment (ACTA) certified trainer.
Dex left the corporate world and venture into entrepreneurship in early 2019. He started Security 4.0 Pte Ltd in March 2019.
