Series Introduction
Build and configure a two-site Windows Server 2019 network using VMware, with Victoria and Perth domains, virtual switches, domain controllers, AD, DNS, DHCP, IIS, ADFS, and failover clustering.
Install and launch VMware workstation, then configure four private switches and an external switch (vmnet8) in the virtual network editor, assigning subnets 192.168.0.0, 192.168.1.0, 192.168.2.0, and 10.0.0.0 with no DHCP.
Learn to fix the Windows Server 2019 evaluation 'license terms' installation error by recreating a virtual machine, choosing a compatible version, and booting with the 253 ISO.
Create Windows Server 2019 lab by provisioning source VM with a 25 gb flexible disk and 4 logical processors, set IP 192.168.0.4 on Pri-Sw1, and prepare for sysprep and cloning.
Use the built-in sysprep tool to generalize a source image and generate a unique SID for each clone. Ensure an OOBE experience with drivers, apps, and updates on each machine.
Clone the source machines to build the network with full clones for VIC-DC1, VIC-Srv1, VIC-Srv2, VIC-Web1, and VIC-PC1; then configure a Windows Server 2019 core server via sconfig and PowerShell.
Verify the 2019 router settings, including computer name 2019RTR, firewall OFF, and the two adapters (10.0.0.1, 192.168.0.1) connected to the correct virtual switch, then ping VIC-DC1 and Perth-DC1.
Forest functional level - Domain functional level
Global catalog
Install Active Directory Domain Services and DNS on VIC-DC1 and promote it as the first domain controller in the GCyber.local forest, logging in as domain administrator.
Learn five fsmo roles—schema master, domain naming master, RID, PDC, and infrastructure master. A domain controller hosts them with forest-wide and domain-wide scope, viewable and transferable via Active Directory tools.
Promote Perth-DC1 as the first domain controller for the new MDCyber.local forest, installing AD DS and DNS, then configure DHCP with a 10.0.0.0 subnet, gateway 10.0.0.1, and DNS 10.0.0.4.
Learn how to join machines to a Windows domain using online join, pre-stage join, and offline join, validate DNS and AD integration, and manage permissions for helpdesk users.
Master basic Windows server commands in cmd and PowerShell, including cd\, dir, md, and Get-Help, then script Active Directory tasks with dsadd to create OUs.
Build Server 2019 Network LAB, follow this series for advance topics and LABS from Real industry to achieve Admin level.
"Official Microsoft Course structure", "English subtitles", "Lab manuals", "Beneficial resources".
This course is one of 10 courses in Win Server 2019 series, designed to cover the 3 levels "Beginner, Intermediate and Professional".
These 10 courses is all you need to land your dream job if you are looking for jobs as Help-desk, Junior Admin or even as Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA)
This series includes the official courses of Windows Server 2019 (Active Directory, Network and Storage) and some customized courses from real IT industry enlightening topics like Troubleshooting, PowerShell , Security and many more.
We have also incorporated Windows Admin Center(WAC) which is a customer-deployed, browser-based app for managing servers, clusters, hyper-converged infrastructure, and Windows 10 PCs. It is a highly secure, cloud-ready server management solution for future.
This course will help you set your Windows server 2019 network, you will be creating 2 network offices and activate routing between them, the same network will be used in advance courses in this series. Our aim is to connect all the dots in the big picture of IT industry. By building your own network from scratch you will gain confidence and a feel of working in a real Network.
The course also has the necessary concepts of AD(Active Directory), DNS and DHCP; in addition to FFL/DFL, FSMO roles and Global Catalog.
I have published few free videos in this course and i will highly recommend you to watch Lecture No. 4 "Network course topics" to get an idea of what are we planning to achieve from this course.
Stay connected to get updates for future courses and be the first one to get notified about new releases and official information from Microsoft.
