Dr. Sharayu Bhakare is an Associate Professor in Symbiosis College of Arts and Commerce (SCAC),Pune, India. Dr. Sharayu is the managerial force in fields such as entrepreneurship and sustainability, driving research and coursework on Corporate Social Responsibility, Sustainability Management and Entrepreneurship. She is a corporate faculty in the subjects of Strategic Management and General Management.
Dr. Sharayu has pioneered many innovative initiatives in her institution. She has launched the Entrepreneurship Development Cell within Symbiosis College, the purpose of which is to create a holistic and practical learning experience for future entrepreneurs. Her mission is to ensure that future business leaders develop the knowledge and skills required for sustainability in core business strategies, take risks, develop innovative solutions, products and processes, etc. while building value for the society and protecting the planet.
An award winning international academician with an extensive research background and over 27 published papers in National and International Journals, Dr. Bhakare is an extremely versatile personality. She was selected by English Speaking Union, London, to represent India in ESU, Oxford University for the ‘International Relation Conference’. Also, she was invited in Center for Entrepreneurial Learning, Cambridge University, UK. She was a resource person at the International Seminar in Kedge Business School, France, wherein she curated the ‘Digital Entrepreneurship and Human Development’ Course. Dr. Sharayu was also invited to deliver a talk on ‘Inclusive Entrepreneurship’ in the University Sains, Malaysia.
She has guided several students in writing and publishing research papers in CSR, Sustainability Management and Social Entrepreneurship.
Dr Sharayu has yet another feather in her cap; she is the editor of two student books: ‘Commerce Horizon’ and ‘Symbipreneurs’. She is passionate about helping young minds to think out of the box and enhance their entrepreneurial and intrapreneurial skill sets through unique endeavors.
She is a change agent in the academia, always engaged in transforming millennia.
