Description

This course is geared towards students who plan to sit the Leaving Certificate Oral Examination. All topics including Myself and My Family, My Hobbies, My School Life and My Summer Holidays are covered. There is also an Introduction to An Chopail: The Copula (Categorisation). This course is also suitable for those who wish to brush up on their conversational Irish, who want to build vocabulary, practise pronunciation and engage in small talk through the Irish language. This course along with Advanced Conversational Irish will prepare prospective students for the oral component of the Leaving Certificate exam. It would also be helpful to those preparing for the interview for the Primary Education Post-Graduate Masters. This series of lectures will help to familiarize students with the types of questions that examiners ask and it will give them the confidence to steer the conversation. The Leaving Certificate Oral Examination is an opportunity for students to impress the examiner.

This course is also suitable for those who want to join a Conversation Class or Ciorcal Comhrá but feel that they need to brush up on the basics beforehand. Short tests accompany each lecture. This course is best studied in conjunction with Intermediate Irish but it is suitable for all levels.

Who this course is for:

  • Beginners and Intermediate Irish language learners.
