Description
This is course is about improving your ability to have a fluent conversation in German. It can be quite challenging to speak to someone in a foreign language and it is important to practice this skill as much as possible. This course will provide you with some basic tools that help you need for a conversation such as greetings, how to address a person and ways to say goodbye - furthermore a large component of the course is dedicated to actually get you speaking: I will make a statement about myself and then ask you about you, so that you can answer as if you were in a real conversation. This will help you to get used to expressing yourself when you are in a conversation with another person without pressure and in as much time as you need to formulate your response.
I have aimed to make this course a fun and interesting experience - rather than just trying to memorize stuff, I want you to engage in the content, think creatively, be surprised and find the learning process stimulating and enjoyable. Learning should never be dull but rather a dynamic and enriching process.
Of course there is nothing like a real-life conversation and I hope this course can help you to prepare for it!

Instructor
I am a German language tutor who was born and raised in Munich, Germany. I have been teaching my native language to people both online and offline and I find teaching very rewarding. I have been living in English-speaking countries including the U.S. and England for more than 10 years and therefore understand the challenges that come with speaking a foreign language as well as adjusting to a new culture. I believe that learning a language is most effective when you are having fun and when it happens in a natural way.
