Explore the process by which ideas become bills and laws. Understand the rules of the US House and senate so that you will know how to talk with your elected officials and their staff and be able to shape the policy of the United States. You will learn what suspensions, committees, and everything in between mean when you talk intelligently and coherently to those in power. We will start at square 1 when an idea is not even in wriitng yet and end when it becomes the law of the United States.
First, we will talk about bill drafting and gaining ideas. Then, we will move to the committee process and understand what committees are and what they do. We will next address the procedural rules of the US House and Senate, and finally we will see how these topics work together in order to turn ideas into the law of the land.
With this knowledge, you will be able to turn your ideas into action and change for the better. If you have an idea, you will be able to make your case and undertsand the changes you as a citizen are able to make for the betterment of our country.

I have expereince working in both the creatin and passing of bills into law and in various aspects of the legislative process, giving me a well-rounded view of how this process works.
