What Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA) is, and what it adds to traditional statistical models, based on variables that are assumed to be measured without error.
How CFA makes our constructs free of measurement error
Explanation of CFA in the context of the family of Structural Equation Models.
How to assess convergent and discriminant validities, as well as "composite reliability" (CR), AVE, and more.

Principles behind path analysis that can help you understand confirmatory factor analysis.
Path analysis is the most basic type of analysis that Amos allows.
If you are not familiar with this technique, this videos can help you.
If you want to learn more about path analysis with Amos, please check my other courses: Path Analysis and Mediation with Amos and IBM Amos - Complete Course (here on Udemy).

In this new section, mediation effects are debated, and some exercises are proposed. I would like to manifest my gratitude for the comments and suggestions provided by those enrolled in the course: I am here for you!
A "full structural equation model" or "full-SEM" is just path analysis, but using latent variables, instead of simple directly observed variables. Now that we know what a latent variable is (from confirmatory factor analysis), and that we understand what path analysis is all about, we are a small step to get a complete grasp of this family of methods.
The course in which you enrolled is called "Confirmatory Factor Analysis" ("CFA" for short). But CFA is just one of the three members of the SEM family. The other two members are "Path Analysis" and "Full-SEM" models.
With these new materials, your introduction to the whole family of methods that Amos allows you to do is complete.
Once again, I want to say thank you for the precious comments of enrolled students that motivated me to enhance the course.
I am here trying to provide you with the best service I can: that is my goal and aspiration.
Kind regards for you all.
Luís
In this course you will learn how to develop valid and reliable instruments to collect data.
You will learn how to measure item reliability in the context of confirmatory factor analysis.
You will be able to assess the validity of your constructs (by measuring convergent and discriminant validities).
The course contains very detailed exercises, that are solved step by step, so that you can understand how to apply each step to your own models.
