1. Listen to the performance video (its recommended you listen several times until you have an idea of how the tune sounds)
2. Download and print/save all of the music notes from the performance video that you would like to learn (you will find all the downloadable notes in the resources tab in each of the performance videos)
3. Start off on stage 1 and learn the basic tune without any embellishment's (if you are a complete beginner you may want to skip stage 2 & 3 for the moment and complete stage 1 in some of the other modules in the course)
4. When you can play the tune you are learning without the sheet music move onto stage 2 & 3
(NOTE: It is not important that you learn every note of the performance video exactly the same as I played it rather learn how, why and where to use the variations and ornaments so you can apply them to any Irish traditional tune you learn)
5. If you have any questions please ask and I will be more than happy to answer your question.
6. I would very much appreciate it if you gave this course a good review as I put a lot of work into it!

95 BPM - 140 BPM!
Start off with the first backing tracking playing at 95 BPM and gradually move to the next recording. I recommend not move to the next track until you are comfortable playing at the speed you are on. These backing tracks can be used with any Irish Jig.
These backing tracks have really helped myself and my students improve our timing & speed and I hope it helps you too. Apart from that they are just really fun to play along with them.
A special thanks to talented bodhran player and maker 'Hugsie' from 'McHugh Custom Percussion' for recording and giving permission to share these recordings.
