My course has 3 parts:
In the first part I speak about the concept of health and safety including its history and present days, what lead to its development and the importance it has in modern world.
The second part is about the requirements of OHSAS 18001. Each requirement is presented in detail. What is the intent of the requirement and what an organization that seeks to be compliant and get certification to OHSAS 18001 standard is expected to do for conformity.
Here I speak about all major elements of the OHSAS 18001 standard like: health and safety hazard identification and risk assessment; controls to mitigate health and safety risks; legal requirements and evaluation of compliance; occupational health and safety policy and objectives; emergency preparedness and response; competence and awareness; participation and consultation of staff; control of documents and records; internal audits; incident investigation; management review.
The third part of my course is about management system auditing - you will understand the most important concepts regarding the audit of management systems - types of audits, principles, objectives, scope, criteria, documents used, nonconformities, audit report.
The information in this course is valuable for auditors but also it provides lots of information to consultants who design and implement health and safety systems or provide advice to companies on health and safety matters. Also people who deal with health and safety in their day to day activities (EHS officers, health and safety engineers and professionals) will find here valuable information
You can get from here condensed information that you can go through whenever you have the time and that you can go back to anytime if you need it.
