I am a South-African trained Fashion Designer and an experienced teacher in all areas of the creative, the practical (patternmaking and garment construction) and the business sides of fashion.
With undergraduate degrees in Economics and Fashion Design, years of tax accounting and advisory experience with KPMG Professional Services and practical work experience with leading retail outlets and garment manufacturing firms in South Africa, I am well versed in various areas of the fashion industry, its relationship with the business community and the business of fashion.
My company, Martwayne, has trained hundreds of students in various countries both online and offline and our students have gone on to start fashion businesses, empowering themselves and becoming employers of labour.
For me, fashion goes being able to make beautiful clothes. I see fashion as a tool for success that can be utilized by everyone, both professionals and fashion lovers seeking to pursue their passion and earn a living. My mission is to ensure our Industry is truly engaged in order to better the lives of its people and alleviating unemployment in the process.
