A brief module description
What will you learn
How to start a drawing using "gesture lines"
How to analyze the "essence" or "action" of the pose and
to focus on the "total figure"
What will you learn
How to start a drawing using "gesture lines"
How to analyze the "essence" or "action" of the pose and
to focus on the "total figure" – in this lecture we will already draw from a reference images

What will you learn
You learn how to utilize the bean form in order to draw: TILT - LEAN - TWIST of the torso
What will you learn
How to use the "Bean Shape/Egg shape" as the
underlying form for the rib cage, hip and pelvis
What will you learn
How to use the "Bean Shape/Egg shape" as the
underlying form for the rib cage, hip and pelvis
What will you learn
How to use the "Bean Shape/Egg shape" as the
underlying form for the rib cage, hip and pelvis
What will you learn
In this lecture we will use all we have learned about the Bean-form
and draw from a reference image
Cylinders are a powerful drawing tool, you will learn how to use the cylinder
in figure drawing in a step by step approach
In Part 2, we will be moving one step further and
will get to know the cylinder as an ideal medium to draw arms and legs
In Part 3 we will be drawing from a reference image I will show in simple steps
how to effectively use the cylinder in figure drawing
You will learn how to draw Box Forms from various angles
and how to twist and turn Box Forms - this is a perfect preparation
in order to fully use this mighty tool for drawing the human figure
In Part 2 we will continue "controlling" the box
and will draw a lying figure out of box forms
Now will bring together all we learned a bout the box and draw from a reference image.
In Part 1 "Combinations" you will learn how to merge box forms with spherical (bean) forms
In Part 2 "Combinations" you will get to know the power of merging box forms with spherical (bean) forms and how effectively the work together if come to represent the human body
Now it is time to draw from a reference image as always in an easy to follow step by step method
In Part 1 we will be dealing with standard views of the head - Front - Side (Profil) - Back view
In Part 2 we will draw the head in a three quarter view as always step by step with focus on simplicity
In Part 3 we will learn simple ways to draw the head in more dynamic poses
The torso (rib cage, hip, pelvis ) is one of the mayor masses of the human body,
to know how to draw the rib cage is extremely important for realistic results

After we have been dealing with static poses we will move on to more dynamic poses,
with focal point of simplicity of the form
The shoulder girdle (scapula or shoulder blade and clavicle )with most models is clearly visible therefore it is necessary to know how to draw this important "group" of the human body in order make you drawing look professional
The shoulder girdle (scapula or shoulder blade and clavicle )with most models is clearly visible therefore it is necessary to know how to draw this important "group" of the human body in order make you drawing look professional
In this Lecture we will get to know a simple way to draw the arms
In this Lecture we will get to know about the connection of the arms to the scapula,
If the arm moves the scapula move with the arm at the back and shows in most cases
a clearly visible landmark
In this Lecture we will be dealing with a difficult subject the hand and fingers,
I have have broken it down to simple volumes in order to give you the chance to understand
this subject in small portions

We will be drawing the legs in a front and side view and connect them to the pelvis
In this Lecture we will be dealing with more dynamic poses of the legs with focal point of simplicity - as always we will connect the legs to its "context" which is the pelvis
Also in this Lecture we will be dealing with dynamic poses of the legs with focal point of simplicity - as always we will connect the legs to its "context" which is the pelvis
Like the hand the foot is a complex subject - I have simplified the structure of the foot as much as possible by breaking it down to elementary volumes
Now we will be dealing with more dynamic poses of the foot - but also here let's keep it simple . . .
Timed poses are a wonderful method to make you concentrate on the essential elements of the pose no time to get lost in detail - you will have to focus on the TOTAL!
Now the 2 Minutes poses like in the Lecture before - Get the TOTAL figure on the paper first!
In this Lecture we will be drawing a back view from a reference image - I will explain every step as we go along . . .
In this Lecture we will be drawing a side view from a reference image - I will explain every step as we go along . . .
In this Lecture we will be drawing a classical "contraposto" pose in a three quarter view from a reference image - As always I will explain every single step as we go along . . .
In this lecture we will be drawing a kneeling figure also step by step this pose is a little different because we will be dealing with concealed forms - Let's get to it . . .
In this Lecture we will be drawing a three quarter view using a watercolor pen . . .
Straight forward standing pose - we will be again using a watercolor pen - this is fun . . .
Anatomy is often a subject beginners and mid level are reluctant to take on board -
I have reduced the anatomy lectures to comprehensible portions with focal point on anatomy which is most relevant for drawing - in other words anatomy that works for drawing!

In this lecture we will be dealing with a dynamic position - I will explain as always step by step how to apply the basic information we have dealt with in the previous lectures to a dynamic pose . . .
This lecture makes you familiar with the basics of comparative measuring
Modular Figure Drawing Course
Drawing is one of the most pleasurable activities, provided it is put across in an easy to comprehend, playful but yet well-structured way. After studying at London Metropolitan University in the UK and at the Alanus University of Arts in Bonn Germany, I have been teaching at Art Universities and Art- and Design Schools in Germany and the UAE. This modular course is for beginners and reentries and for all those who would like to know how to draw but have not found the right method yet.
I have put great effort in order to design this course with maximum simplicity, accountability and pleasure. I draw everyday and I still love it, it is such a simple and beautiful passion which enriches your life not only in terms of a skill - you learn to focus and you start seeing things other people don't see for there eyes are not trained - it also helps you to unwind - and on top of that you don't have to spend a killing on drawing materials, you don't need a special place to draw, you can even draw in the underground or coffee places etc.
Above all it is a beautiful feeling to get better and better with your drawing skills – This Figure Drawing Course features reference photographs of fully nude models, which gives you the chance to draw alongside with me, while I'm explaining the process. Aim of this course is to enable you to do draw the human figure in various poses, with a secure, reliable and pleasurable method.
I'm excited to present my newly designed Figure Drawing course to students all over the world via the Udemy platform.
I 'm looking forward to meeting you guys – I see you in a bit . . .
Thank's a lot for your attention!
