There are some major myths we have bought into when it comes to communication that have been destroying our shot of getting the results we want with other people. In this video, I'll introduce you to the 3 Monster Myths of Communication that have been taking your chances of communication success.

This is where you imagine that in every conversation, the people you talk to is a full tank of words, concerns, opinions, thoughts. Good listening is getting to a point where that tank has been emptied.
This is one of the most powerful listening tools you have to help yourself understand people better, to connect with them more deeply, and to make them feel gotten, we’ll call this Specific Listening…

This is when you give them the power to choose for their reasons.

Let’s cover the three master skills of amazing communication …
Getting your point across is like a weird game of volleyball where the one tool you want to use (your hands), is off limits. You have to use your "head," your "chest" and your "feet." These are the three skills of powerful communicators -- and we'll cover them in this section.
You see, the first tool you have, Your Head, is Questions. We’ll go deeper into questions little later, but for now, I just want you to realize. Your hands are tied behind your back. The #1 skill you have to get the ball over the net is Questions.
The second skill you have, is your chest, Storytelling.
Tim David says in his book Magic Words… “In order to influence someone to your way of thinking, they must first believe that it is their own way of thinking.”
One way YOU DO THAT is BY TELLING STORIES.
The third skill you have, your feet, is metaphors.
This is the best tool you have to help someone get something isn’t to tell them it's to think of the most creative and effective way that will stick in their brain more.
