Your tone of voice when speaking can shape how your team perceives you and your work. For example, analyst to analyst or manager to manager. Being relatable with people whom you deem as your peers is how you can build relatability and trust.
Now that you know how to communicate with those on your level, we move to speaking with those who report up to you. For example, those whom you are managing. In this video, we will go over how you can be an inspirational leader your team wants to follow. You'll learn how to motivate your team by cluing them in on the overall process and building that foundation for doing great team work.
Communicating with somebody who is above you requires a different strategy. In this video, we will go over how to build credibility, how to tailor your communication and being mindful of how to respond to things. Understanding the differences between communication with senior leaders, your peers, and those who report up to you is how you can be a powerful speaker.
Those with executive presence in the workplace are seen as leaders. In this video, you will learn what are the three pillars that make up developing executive presence. This includes appearing decisive and using your body language to emphasize points.
Learn how to give productive feedback by using the SBI™ model and by allowing the other person to come to their own conclusion. In this video, we go over the importance of carving out time to address situations and being prepared before going into a difficult discussion. Setting an open environment is key to leading with tact.
We all have to face tough conversations, especially in the work setting. Planning the conversation ahead of time, finding an appropriate place and preparing to be as direct as possible are a few way to navigate tricky situations. You'll also want to be mindful of your tone of voice and being an active listener during these crucial conversations.
