Here are the seven steps of a coliving resident journey
Discovery – Potential residents learn about the coliving space, primarily handled by marketing and planning (outside this lesson’s scope).
Curation – Residents are selected and accepted, with the community facilitator influencing the space’s culture both physically and online.
Onboarding – New residents are welcomed, checked in, and integrated into the community by the community facilitator.
Adaptation – Ensuring cultural integration through personal check-ins, understanding needs, and maintaining communication channels.
Communal Life – Residents engage in the community through events, decision-making, and conflict resolution, facilitated by the community leader.
Offboarding – Residents transition out, with the facilitator ensuring a positive final impression.
Afterlife – Former residents stay connected through events, outreach, and online communication.
Note: A CF is involved in steps 2 to 7, which means that the only step they don't have responsibilities in is in the discovery phase.
Please refer to the "CF responsibilities png" file in the downloadable materials to understand in detail which responsibilities are assigned to the CF and which are not. You will need this resource to do the next quiz.
Highlight community facilitators front and center to humanize the co-living experience, build trust, and showcase their experience, expertise, and onboarding rituals.
