    Ingredients

    1. 2 ounces vodka.

    2. Club soda, to top.

    3. 1 squeeze lemon (optional)

    4. Garnish: lemon wedge.

  • Whiskey Sour1:39

    The whiskey sour is a mixed drink containing whiskey, lemon juice, sugar, and optionally, a dash of egg white. It is a type of sour, a mixed drink with a base spirit, citrus juice, and a sweetener.

    Main alcohol: Whisky, Bourbon whiskey

    Ingredients: 1 1/2 oz (3 parts) Bourbon whiskey, 1 dash egg white, 1 oz (2 parts) Fresh lemon juice, 1/2 oz (1 part) Gomme syrup

    Preparation: Shake with ice. Strain into ice-filled old-fashioned glass to serve "on the rocks."

    Served: Shaken; on the rocks

    Standard garnish: Lemon rind, Maraschino cherry, Orange slice, Sugared glass

    Drinkware: Cobbler, Old fashioned glass

    Whiskey: Bourbon whiskey

  • Tequila Sunrise1:46

    The tequila sunrise is a cocktail made of tequila, orange juice, and grenadine syrup. It's served unmixed in a tall glass. The modern drink originates from Sausalito, California, in the early 1970s after an earlier one created in the 1930s in Phoenix, Arizona.

    Main alcohol: Tequila

    Ingredients: 1 1/2 oz (3 parts) Tequila, 1/2 oz (1 part) Grenadine syrup, 3 oz (6 parts) Orange juice

    Preparation: Pour the tequila and orange juice into glass over ice. Add the grenadine, which will sink to the bottom. Do not stir. Garnish and serve.

    Served: On the rocks; poured over ice

    Standard garnish: Cherry, Orange slice

    Drinkware: Collins glass

  • French 752:24

    French 75 is a cocktail made from gin, champagne, lemon juice, and sugar. It is also called a 75 Cocktail, or in French simply a Soixante Quinze. The drink dates to World War I, and an early form was created in 1915 at the New York Bar in Paris—later Harry's New York Bar—by barman Harry MacElhone.

    Main alcohol: Champagne

    Ingredients: 1 oz Gin, 1/2 oz Lemon juice, 2 Dashes Simple syrup, 2 oz Champagne

    Preparation: Combine gin, syrup, and lemon juice in a cocktail shaker filled with ice. Shake vigorously and strain into an iced champagne glass. Top up with Champagne. Stir gently.

    Drinkware: Champagne flute

    Served: Straight up; without ice

    IBA specified ingredients: 3 cl gin; 2 dashes simple syrup; 1.5 cl lemon juice; 6 cl Champagne

  • Long Island Iced Tea2:47

    A Long Island iced tea or Long Island ice tea is a type of cocktail typically made with vodka, tequila, light rum, triple sec, gin, and a splash of cola, which gives the drink the same amber hue as iced tea.

    Main alcohol: Vodka, Tequila, Rum, Triple sec, Gin

    Ingredients: 1 oz Gomme Syrup, 1 oz Lemon juice, 1/2 oz Gin, MORE

    Preparation: Add all ingredients into highball glass filled with ice. Stir gently. Garnish with lemon spiral. Serve with straw.

    Served: On the rocks; poured over ice

    Standard garnish: Lemon spiral

    Drinkware: Highball glass

    Primary alcohol by volume: Gin; Tequila; Vodka; Rum; Triple sec

  • Bloody Mary2:47

    A Bloody Mary is a cocktail containing vodka, tomato juice, and other spices and flavorings including Worcestershire sauce, hot sauces, garlic, herbs, horseradish, celery, olives, pickled vegetables, salt, black pepper, lemon juice, lime juice and celery salt.

    Main alcohol: Vodka

    Ingredients: 1 1/2 oz (3 parts) Vodka, 1/2 oz (1 part) Lemon juice, MORE

    Preparation: Add dashes of Worcestershire Sauce, Tabasco, salt and pepper into highball glass, then pour all ingredients into highball with ice cubes. Stir gently. Garnish with celery stalk and lemon wedge (optional).

    Served: On the rocks; poured over ice.

    Standard garnish: Celery stalk or dill pickle spear

    Drinkware: Highball glass

  • Margarita1:46

    A margarita is a cocktail consisting of tequila, orange liqueur, and lime juice often served with salt on the rim of the glass. The drink is served shaken with ice, blended with ice, or without ice.

    Main alcohol: Tequila

    Ingredients: 1 oz Cointreau, 1 oz Lime juice, 2 oz Tequila

    Preparation: Rub the rim of the glass with the lime slice to make the salt stick to it. Shake the other ingredients with ice, then carefully pour into the glass (taking care not to dislodge any salt). Garnish and serve over ice.

    Served: On the rocks; poured over ice

    Standard garnish: Lime slice, Salt on the rim

    Drinkware: Margarita glass

    IBA specified ingredients: 50 ml tequila 100% agave; 20 ml triple sec; 15 ml freshly squeezed lime juice

    Ingredients: 1 part Vodka, 1 to 3 parts Tonic water

    Preparation: Mix and serve-stirred, not shaken.

    Standard garnish: Citrus fruit, usually lime or lemon

  • Poinsettia Champagne Cocktail1:53

    Ingredients

    • Champagne

    • 1/2 ounce Cointreau

    • 3 ounces cranberry juice

    Instructions

    1. Put the Cointreau and cranberry juice in a chilled champagne flute.

    2. Stir them together.

    3. Top the rest of the way with champagne.

    Ingredients:

    • Fresh lime wedge (optional)

    • Margarita salt (optional)

    • ⅔ cup ruby red grapefruit juice

    • ⅓ cup blanco (white) tequila (such as Sauza Blanco)

    • 1 tablespoon fresh lime juice

    • Dash of hot sauce

    Directions:

    Rub rim of a chilled margarita glass with lime wedge, and dip rim in salt to coat, if desired. Combine all ingredients in a cocktail shaker, add ice, and shake well. Serve over ice in prepared glass.

  • Cuba Libre1:50

    Rum and Coke, or the Cuba libre, is a highball cocktail consisting of cola, rum, and in many recipes lime juice on ice.

    Main alcohol: Rum

    Ingredients: 1 2/3 oz White rum, 1/3 oz Fresh lime juice, 4 oz Cola

    Preparation: Build all ingredients in a highball glass filled with ice. Garnish with lime wedge.

    Served: On the rocks; poured over ice

    Standard garnish: Lime wedge

    Drinkware: Highball glass

    IBA specified ingredients: 120 ml cola; 50 ml white rum; 10 ml Fresh lime juice

  • Tom Collins1:50

    The Tom Collins is a Collins cocktail made from gin, lemon juice, sugar, and carbonated water. First memorialized in writing in 1876 by Jerry Thomas, "the father of American mixology", this "gin and sparkling lemonade" drink is typically served in a Collins glass over ice.

    Main alcohol: Gin

    Ingredients: 1 1/2 oz (3 parts) Old Tom Gin, MORE

    Preparation: Mix the gin, lemon juice and sugar syrup in a tall glass with ice, top up with soda water, garnish and serve.

    Served: On the rocks; poured over ice

    Standard garnish: Lemon slice, Maraschino cherry

    Drinkware: Collins glass

  • Sidecar1:54

    The sidecar is any cocktail traditionally made with cognac, orange liqueur, plus lemon juice. In its ingredients, the drink is perhaps most closely related to the older brandy crusta, which differs both in presentation and in proportions of its components.

    Ingredients: 2 oz Cognac, 3/4 oz Lemon juice, 3/4 oz Triple sec

    Preparation: Pour all ingredients into cocktail shaker filled with ice. Shake well and strain into cocktail glass.

    IBA specified ingredients: 5 cl cognac; 2 cl triple sec; 2 cl lemon juice

  • Gin and Tonic2:03

    A gin and tonic is a highball cocktail made with gin and tonic water poured over a large amount of ice. The ratio of gin to tonic varies according to taste, strength of the gin, other drink mixers being added, etc., with most recipes calling for a ratio between 1:1 and 1:3.

    Main alcohol: Gin

    Ingredients: 1 part to 3 parts gin (to taste), 3 parts tonic water

    Preparation: In a glass filled with ice cubes, add gin and tonic.

    Served: On the rocks; poured over ice

    Standard garnish: A slice or wedge of lime

    Drinkware: Highball glass, Rocks glass
