Master foundational networking concepts, covering physical infrastructure, basic networking fundamentals, virtualization and cloud technologies, security principles, and hands-on labs for exam readiness.
Explore the fundamentals of networking, defining networks, media, data, and essential devices such as nodes, hosts, switches, routers, repeaters, and bridges, plus basic topologies and OSI/TCP/IP models.
Explore physical network fundamentals by examining connection technologies, copper and optical media, Ethernet standards, and how the data link layer uses MAC and LLC to move data.
Learn core TCP/IP concepts: IPv4 and IPv6 addressing, binary to decimal conversion, classful and classless subnetting, private ranges 10/8, 172.16/12, and 192.168/16, plus DNS/DNSSEC, DHCP, and ARP/NDP address resolution.
An in-depth exploration of routers and switches, layer 2 and 3 connectivity, and wide area network technologies, highlighting spanning tree, VLAN trunking, LAG, and NAT concepts.
Master wireless LAN basics and standards for the CNP course. Learn about radio waves, access points, channels, 2.4 gigahertz and 5 gigahertz bands, channel bonding, and MIMO.
Explore core security principles for networks, including defense in depth, the CIA triad (availability, integrity, confidentiality), and controls like least privilege, separation of duties, and encryption.
Defend the network by applying layered hardening, bastion hosts, DMZ, firewalls, IDS/IPS, and data loss prevention, while enforcing authentication, Kerberos, and radius-based access.
Discover how the network boom expanded from flat, isolated networks to interconnected, cloud and virtual infrastructures, including VoIP, SIP trunks, gateways, and streaming.
Master day to day networking fundamentals, monitoring and optimization, and performance. Learn fault tolerance, disaster recovery, and incident handling with logging, SIEM tools, and troubleshooting techniques.
