Description

Being asked to undertake a cloud program?

Not sure what all this Cloud stuff is about or how it relates to your business?

Worried about your cloud program running over budget or worse not delivering the business outcomes you need?

Well this course is for you!

This course is presented by a former Chief Information Officer who has led successful cloud migration and transformation programs Internationally in the commercial sector, Government and Healthcare.

Cloud migrations and particularly cloud transformation programs are complex programs of work. This course does not aim to teach you about project or program management, but rather to focus on the differences between traditional IT projects and Cloud projects. It is these differences, which are often forgotten or overlooked, that result in cloud programs running over budget or failing to deliver the business outcomes they promised.

This course has been developed for a non-technical audience and introduces the technologies behind the cloud in an easily understood manner so that you understand the 'why'.

By the end of the course you will understand how the cloud works and its core technologies, the differences between IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS, how modern applications work and the differences between a cloud program and other IT programs. You will also understand what can go wrong with a cloud migration or transformation program, how to detect it early and how to ensure your project delivers on its business outcomes.

Who this course is for:

  • Executives and Board members and anyone who is interested in how cloud and cloud migrations work
