Instructor
I currently work full time as a Creative Director leading the design and multimedia internal creative team for a global organization. Prior, I led the brand and creative work at a value-based healthcare organization. For five years, I served as the Brand Creative Director at a 110B organization, overseeing 45 go-to-market brands and their visual identity. Prior to that, I managed the photography team for the largest US retailer and was the Creative Production Director for a famous bourbon brand. Before my corporate career, I founded and ran a creative agency (AGA Digital Studios, Inc.) for 18 years, building branded marketing content, 3D animation, photography and video, for Fortune 500 companies such as Johnson & Johnson, Abbott Laboratories, Edelman, Keurig, Wrigley, the American Dental Association, NASA, United Airlines and many others. I'm a certified professional photographer, and have published 15 books (and technical edited 2 others) on creative software, 3D imaging, and photography. I've taught graphics and digital imaging for 20 years, in person as well as LinkedIn Learning (formerly Lynda com), Class on Demand, and my own former brand, 3DGarage. For the past 10 years, I teach a yearly summer workshop on digital imaging at the University of Notre Dame. I hold a B.A. in Broadcast Journalism, and a minor in Photojournalism from Valparaiso University.
