Important Information

In order to setup an SMTP, you will need to have a custom "business email" for your domain (IE: support@yourdomain.com). You cannot use a free email such as "@gmail, @yahoo, @hotmail, etc....
I personally use GSuite as my mail service because they are the top dog when it comes to email. There are over 1.5 Billion users that use Gmail. This will help slightly with email deliverability. I also like that I can utilize the Gmail app on my phone as well as the other GSuite apps under 1 account. If you aren't using Gsuite, there are other options out there such as Zoho.

Get Started With GSuite

After you've setup your custom email, you need to make sure you have all the necessary records added to your domain or your email reputation will suffer.
There is a lot of free information out there, and you can use tools to check your domain health like MXToolBox or GSuite's MX Tools.

The important records you'll need to have include SPF, DKIM and DMARC. Note: These records are setup on your domain hosts provider in the DNS settings.
Utilize the Gsuite help documents for how to setup those records!

What Is SMTP?

SMTP stands for "Simple Mail Transfer Protocol". An SMTP service is the dedicated service that actually delivers your emails to your audience.
Most 3rd Party Autorespodners already have a dedicated SMTP service built-in to their platform that all of their customers use.
However, if you are using Actionetics and/or want to utilize the ClickFunnels™ internal emailing (from the automation tab in your funnels), then you would first need to setup an SMTP and integrate it with ClickFunnels™.

What SMTPs Does ClickFunnels™ Support?

- SendGrid (Easiest and recommended option)- MailGun- Mandrill- Sparkpost- ClickFunnels™ Mail (Actionetics MD or free to all members up to 500 contacts).

Facebook Pixel Helper Extension

Install the free extension for Chrome by clicking Resources.

The Facebook Pixel Helper is a must have troubleshooting tool that helps you validate your pixel implementation on your funnels.
The Facebook Pixel Helper works in the background to look for conversion or Facebook pixels and provide real time feedback on the implementation. A small number will appear on the Facebook Pixel Helper icon to indicate number of pixel events. When clicked, a panel will expand to show a detailed overview of the page's pixels, including warnings, errors and successes.

PHASE 4 - Test, Build Your Email List, SCALE & DOMINATE.

1. Test Different Ads, Different Landing Pages, Different Emails

Important Information

Optin Funnels allow you to capture contact information within ClickFunnels, which can in turn be added to various Email lists for Marketing Campaigns.
The key component that makes up an Optin Funnel's primary goal is an Email field, generally placed on the first Page, with a button action set to "Submit" the page when clicked.

The email field is mandatory for capturing any contact information. Contact profiles are only created inside ClickFunnels at the onset of an Email address' submission.

Important Takeaways

The basic structure of a Sales Funnel is as follows:

• Optin (Squeeze) Page - Front page which Captures the basic information from a customer.

• Sales Page - Video Sales Letter or other that "sells/pitches" your product to a potential customer.

• Order Page - THE MOST IMPORTANT! This is where you'll find the Order Form Elements and process orders made by your customers. Make sure when building your Order Page, you are building on an ORDER PAGE template!

• Upsell/Downsell Page (optional) - Give your customer 1 or more other product choices to purchase and increase your potential cart value and overall profit.

• Order Confirmation Page - Basic order summary of the order that was placed.

• Thank You Page (optional) - A lot of times people will include the "thank you page" on their Order Confirmation Page. But this is where you may thank them for their purchase and or setup an "Offer Wall" which is a strategy to sell related products.

Membership Area

Use the Secret Sign-Up URL to provide customers a way to sign up for your membership site.
Note: You can also setup a membership funnel in the same funnel as your Sales Funnel so that when someone purchases, the "Thank You Page" is the Membership Access Area (which is your secret sign-up URL) but prevents your customers from seeing the secret sign-up URL. Important so your secret URL isn't shared.

Restricting Access

As mentioned above, it's important to restrict access of any content that you only want paying customers to have access to. This way, if your Secret Sign-Up URL gets released into the general public, members could create their account but won't see any of your restricted sections until they meet the requirements.
There are 2 ways to restrict access: Product Purchases & Tags.
Note: Restrictions inside of a membership work as an "OR" rule.Example: If you have Tag Restrictions "A" & "B" set on a section, a contact must only match 1 of those tags.

Important Information

Static vs. Smart Lists

A Static list is a list where contacts can only be added through your page integration, the automation tab or by uploading contacts directly.
A Smart list gives you the ability to add different rules/filters and have contacts automatically added/removed from the smart list based on those rules set. You cannot add contacts directly to a smart list through a page integration like you can a static list. Smart lists "auto update" multiple times throughout the day to ensure all the contacts match the rules you've setup.
Note: Contacts can be subscribed to more than one list and Smart Lists can contain more than 1 rule/filter.

What Is A Broadcast?

A broadcast lets users send emails, texts, desktop notifications and more, directly to contacts on whatever lists they specify. These are different than those in follow up funnels, as they are not automatically sent, but rather are emails that are created and sent out when the user chooses. Broadcasts are one-time campaigns.

Important Takeaways

Follow Up Funnels (FUF) are what makes Actionetics run. They are automated sequences that you can create and customize to send automated emails, SMS text messages, and perform other actions. For example, users can create a FUF to do the following: Step 1. Instantly send a text message to a new contact on a list.

Step 2. 12 hours later send that contact an automated email.

Step 3. 24 hours after being added to the list, send a follow up email.

Step 4. 48 hours after being added to the list, they might run a "do action" such as adding a tag or removing the contact from a list and placing them on to another (like a "Seinfeld" list).
The example above is just a small taste of what's possible!

Important Takeaways

Affiliate types are the differing rates specific affiliates can earn.
For example, users can setup a commission plan that has two types of affiliates. The first might be called "Affiliate" who earns 20% commission on all sales. The second might be called a "Super Affiliate" who earns 50% commission on all sales.
Affiliate types can be changed for specific Affiliates inside of their user settings.

Important Takeaways

Both the Affiliate Access and Affiliate Area steps are required to add an affiliate program to a funnel.
The access step creates a login/registration page where new affiliates can learn a bit about the program and register as a new user or sign in to their existing account.
The affiliate area step provides affiliates with a designated area where they can go to view and copy their unique affiliate links (for the specific funnel) as well as any banner ads, swipe copy, videos, etc that might be available for use in their advertising.
Remember, the Affiliate Access step should come before the Affiliate Area step.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can you override an order bump product?

No, the commission for the order bump product is determined by the primary product that is purchased. If the primary product has a commission of 25% and the customer purchases the order bump, the commission for the order bump will be 25% even if the default commission plan for the entire funnel is only 10%
As mentioned in the video above, when you set a product to be an order bump, the option to set a commission override in the Affiliates tab disappears.

Can you override the commission of OTO's (Upsells/Downsells)?

Yes, you can override the commission plans on individual OTO products. The process is the same as overriding an order form product.
