Welcome to the ICND1/CCENT course! I’m very happy that you are here. I’m going to talk about Cisco networks and I have a lot of challenges, activities and quizzes for you. I want to make sure you are ready for the exam and real world situations.
In this lecture I will go over the Local and Wide Area Networks. We will also introduce some Network devices. I have a few topologies as well.
In this lecture I will go over another group of Network Devices: Firewalls and Access Points. I will show you a wireless USB card as well.
I will teach you how to identify unicast, broadcast, and multicast messages and why we need them in our networks today. A short but very important lecture.
A bonus lecture that will cover the Three-Layer system, network diagrams and a star topology. You will find all these items in our networks today. It is like a foundation for a network.
This PDF covers all basic commands and terms that you will need. I included some screenshots to make it easier for you to try it all out at home
In this lecture I will cover the OSI Model in general and describe why it is important to follow a standard. We will check the OSI Layers and learn some keywords that identify every single layer of this Model.
In this lecture I will go over the network Layer and routers. I will show you an example of an IP address and subnet mask. We will also cover private and public IP ranges. It is an introduction to subnetting as well.
Before I move on to the last layer I want to cover one more topic. In this lecture I will go over Collision and Broadcast Domains and how to identify them. We will talk about switches and hubs (L1 devices) and how they deal with collision and broadcast domains.
It is extremely important to make our networks as secure as possible. This is why I am going to teach you how you can create a password on a Cisco device. I will introduce different types of passwords, interfaces and lines.
We want to manage our Cisco devices remotely. I will show you how you can enable the most popular protocol for it: telnet. We will talk about passwords as well, because we need to protect our remote sessions.
I have a long list of important show commands for you. I will talk you through all of them and give you some examples of why and when to use them. I want to make sure you are ready to start troubleshooting Cisco devices.
When you think about packet switching a router – think CEF! I will show you what it is and some old methods that are available on a Cisco router.
I have a client and he needs a piece of advice. I will ask you to assist and suggest a solution he can go for. Sounds interesting?
I have two examples for you. First, we will divide an IP address into 5 networks. Then, we will come up with a template to create 5 hosts per network.
5 additional examples for you – I show you a network address and ask a question. You have a few seconds to answer. Are you ready for this challenge?
Are you ready for our first lab? I will show you how you can configure a Cisco switch. We will talk about hostnames, IP addresses, telnet and ssh access. I will cover passwords and basic show commands as well.
Yes! We will connect to a Cisco switch and configure it. I will show you IP addresses, telnet, ssh, and some show commands.
We know enough about VLANs to connect to a switch and enable it all. Are you ready? Let's go!
We know enough about VLANs. We can connect two switches now and create a special port called a trunk. I will show you DTP – a protocol that allows you to negotiate trunk settings between two switches.
In this lecture we will talk about the Native VLAN and why we need it when we configure a trunk between two Cisco switches. I will connect to a switch as well and show you how you can change the Native VLAN to VLAN2.

Cisco has announced the new CCENT exam (100-105). Do not worry, you ARE covered! This course has been updated to cover new exam topics.
Pass the CCENT (CCNA ICND1, 100-105) exam first time and master all skills. Short lectures help you find a topic that you need to review. There are labs, challenges and quizzes to make it as interesting as possible.
You can download all presentations as a PDF e-book as well (more than 100 pages!).
CCENT (ICND1, 100-105) is an entry level certificate from Cisco. Do you want to start your career in networking? This certificate is perfect for you! It is easier than CCNA but covers all basic terms and shows you how to configure a Cisco device.
In this course you will learn all you need to know to pass the exam and apply your skills in real world scenarios.

Contents and Overview
In over 4 hours of content including more than 100 lectures, this course covers the basics of networking and Cisco devices. Each chapter closes with a quiz to allow you to practice exam questions and test your knowledge before moving to the next section.
We start by defining some basic terms (LAN, WAN, DNS, DHCP, IP Address) and then move to The OSI Model. There is a section dedicated to Routing, Switching and Network Security.
It is all recorded and edited in FullHD using mobile friendly presentations and high quality audio.
