Introduction to Cinema 4D fundamentals. Learning to find your way around Cinema 4D, what are the various panels. How do we access them, keyboard shortcuts, customization and creating a custom workspace
To explain what is a line, what is a spline, what are various kinds of ready made splines and how do we use the pen tool to both create as well as modify splines. This is a hands on lesson and students will be best able to benefit the most if they practice the exercises given in the lecture
Using the Lathe Nurbs Object to create symmetrical objects. This module explains how splines are used in conjunction with Lathe Nurbs to create pottery like objects.
To demonstrate use of the Extrude Nurbs Object to extrude or project a spline along the z dimension. Principles are explained through the creation of a simple 3D text object
Use of the Bezier Nurbs Object is explained by taking a flat plane and moulding it, through the use of this object into a smooth shape similar to a pillow. Also, specific places where the Bezier Nurbs Object can be used is also clarified.
To show how external software like Adobe Illustrator can be used along with Cinema 4D to create shapes. Since programs like Illustrator have many options to create and edit splines, time can be saved by creating constructional splines in an external programme and then importing it into a 3D program
To demonstrate use of the bend deformer with the help of a cylinder object. To show how to fit the deformation cage to the object to be deformed, and how to creatively control the various parameters to get exactly the result that you are looking for
This course takes you through a gradual step by step process into the fine art of becoming a proficient 3D animator. The software of choice is Cinema 4D, a software becoming increasingly popular in the Broadcast and Motion Graphics industry. Each and every topic is generously interspersed with explanatory graphics which complement the material being taught. Care has been taken that keyboard shortcuts are highlighted where they have been used, and also there is a brief recap of the start of each new session of what was covered earlier. This section covers all the modeling techniques you need to learn and master to get up to speed in Cinema 4D. While there are many courses existing on Cinema 4D, this course in profuse with many illustrations and diagrams, and charts to explain hard to grasp concepts. There are also parallels drawn from the real world, where ever possible so that you can relate to this software. Not only is basic modelling covered but also deformers, which a lot of people have heard about but which seems hard to understand. In subsequent chapters I will be also covering lights, materials textures and render settings.
We hope you enjoy this course and practice all the projects that are given at the end of some chapters.
