• ICD-10-PCS Procedure Coding: This is the big one. I break down the 7-character system. You will practice identifying the correct "Root Operation." You will learn the difference between Excision and Resection, or Release and Division. If you can get the Root Operation right, you can get the code right.

• Clinical Coding Scenarios: This is where we put it all together. These are short medical stories (mini-cases). You have to read the chart and pick the right codes for both the diagnosis and the procedure. This is exactly what you will do as a real inpatient coder.
