The CIA, Certified Internal Auditor, is the credential of suitability to practice the profession of internal auditing, held by more than 200,000 professionals throughout 160 countries and territories throughout the world.
Obtaining it requires passing three demanding exams, for which this course constitutes an element of preparation supported not only by material with theoretical content but also by exercise questions and answers.
In addition, those who seek to obtain the certification must also prove experience in the profession and a minimum academic solvency.
In particular, the Part I exam, together with the corresponding academic and experience requirements, has an intrinsic value, which is the possibility of obtaining certification as an internal audit practitioner, an initial step in verifying suitability in the field.
I obtained the certification in 1996, and since then and for seven years I conducted the preparation for obtaining the CIA at the Institute of Internal Auditors of Argentina.
The success obtained led him to be summoned to teach this course at the institutes of internal auditors of Uruguay, Chile, Ecuador, Peru and Costa Rica.
This material was carefully prepared based on my experience and has been aligned with the current exam contents, aligned with NOGAI – Global Standards on Internal Auditing, which have come into force in January 2025.
