Chumpi Stones are known as healing stones; they have been used for centuries by the Q'ero shamans and healers in the Andes. They are used in healing practices to initiate and transmit lineage rites and connect us to the sacred mountains.

These healing stones are connected with these sacred mountains of Peru, taking power in the hands of the Apus. Expanding this, they reach the stars above, linking back to you. However, we recognise these mountains may have no meaning to you. I will guide you through a meditative shamanic journey where you will discover mountains that will work intensely with you and your needs. This way, you will have a unique relationship with your Chumpi Stones and work with them.

My knowledge of working with Chumpi Stones is distant—I am not an expert, nor do I claim to be, nor am I a descendant of the medicine men and women they come from. Please open your heart to this initiation into Andean Cosmology; rather than teaching you how to use it, I wish you to experience it. Feel for the changes within the Chumpi Stones and you as you begin your conversation with them.

You may not be able to purchase your own set of Chumpi Stones, but do not worry; we will make a set using modelling clay during this course. Remember, people make them, and not necessarily with sacred intent! Plus, as a bonus, we will create an oracle card set using chumpi stones as guidance and sacred geometry—if you work in a sacred way with your cards, they can become just as powerful as the stones.

You will undergo initiation into two Rites or Karpays you may be familiar with: We will install their sacred power by weaving them into the body's architecture with bright bands of power. Some of you will be familiar with the Bands-of-Power Rite from the Munay Ki - this is where it originates.

We further this relationship with another Rite you may be familiar with - The Harmony Rite. We will extend this Rite by seeding the sacred mountains in each of the main seven chakras in your body. However, I offer you an alternative to the Mountains listed below via a meditative journey to 'find your mountains'.

The Chumpi Stones work in the energetic points of our "chakras". The names of the seven sacred mountains they originate from are:

7 Points = Crown Chakra (Apu Machu Picchu)

6 Points = Third Eye Chakra (Apu Wakaywillka)

5 Points = Throat Chakra (Apu Saqsaywaman)

4 Point = Heart Chakra (Apu Wuanakaury)

3 points = solar plexus chakra (Apu Pachatusan)

2 Points = Sacral Chakra (Apu Salkantay)

1 Point = Root Chakra our column (Apu Ausangate)
