Chinese Learning English Fast Intermediate 2

I am excited to announce to you that here comes the fourth sequel of Chinese Learning English Fast series: the quickest way of learning conversational English. It is targeted towards native Chinese speakers who want to learn English fast, as the medium, explaining language is Chinese.  I am an award-winning professor of language and literature for 16 years at prestigious American colleges with two PhDs in Chinese, English and comparative language and literature. The Chinese teacher-centered, lecture-style of teaching English in Chinese classrooms often greatly hampered the students' spoken English on account of the learners' participation and over-teaching of grammar. Learning language is like learning piano, depending on the learners' practice rather than the teacher's excessive lectures. The quickest way of acquiring spoken language is the way we learned a language during our childhood: from mouth to mouth, without any written script. While without an explaining medium language, a baby has to figure out the meaning of the sentences from recurring situations, we, as adult learners, can even further enhance the speed by minimal, explaining medium language (here is English). The sequence of "Chinese Learning English Fast: The quickest way of learning conversational English" has six courses. Each course takes you only 4 hours (30-40 minutes each day for the two dialogues of each lesson, you can finish the course in a week), the six courses will allow you to master spoken English from beginning to advanced level. You will be able to conduct conversation fluently in English in all realms of daily life, including greeting, family, time, hobbies, visit friends, make appointment, study Chinese, school life, go shopping, weather, traffic, dining, library, renting apartment, book air ticket, traveling, etc. Not just random teaching of some key sentences in a situation, but full-body real-life conversation! 大家好！这是“中国人快速学英语"的第二集。这个系列的课程是针对想要快速学英语的中国人和华裔，因为解释的中介语言是中文。 我在美国做过16年的教授，获得了英美文学和比较文学两个文学博士。中国传统的外语课堂以教师为中心、讲解为主的教学方式极大地阻碍了学生英语口语的进步，因为学生缺乏练习和与老师的互动。学语言就像学钢琴，关键在于学生的练习、而不是老师的过度讲解。 最快的学外语的方法是我们儿时学母语的方式：从口到口，不依赖写好的台词。另一方面，二外学习也有母语学习所没有的优势。由于没有中介语言，一个学母语的幼儿不得不从重现的语境中猜测词句的意思，你们， 作为第二外语的学生，可以依靠少量的中介语言（这里是中文）更快地领会语义、提高学习速度。 这个系列的“中国人快速学英语”有六门课，每门课只需要花你四个小时（如果你一天花30分钟学习每一课中的两个对话，只需要一个星期）。这六门课使你能够在24个小时掌握从初级到中高级的英语口语。你能够在日常生活的各个方面流利地运用英语：包括问候、家庭、时间、爱好、访问朋友、约会、学习语言、学校生活、买东西、天气、交通、图书馆、租房、订机票、旅行、中美节日、儿童教育、电脑时代等等。 不只是情景对话中的几句关键句子，而是真实生活中的全部对话。    There are seven lessons in this course, each lesson has two dialogues. Each dialogue is taught in two lectures. The first lecture will teach you the meaning of each phrase and sentence in the dialogue with the help of medium language---Chinese, but the main emphasis is to lead you speak after me through the whole dialogue as soon as you understand them. During this lecture, you may glance at the printed out PDF of the text  for identifying the sound with my talk-head pronunciation. The second lecture is an acting video in which you can review your dialogue and speak after me again. I didn't put in English subtitles in the talking head videos, because I think it will distract you from recalling the full sentence you speak after me, instead, you will just spell out the English words one by one mechanically, without being able to duplicate the full sentence language out of your memory when you speak after me. After the first lecture, you should not even look at the PDF while speaking after me, you should speak after me like a child learning his first language---from mouth to mouth, observing the mouth shape in pronunciation, imitate the pronunciation and tones as closely as possible, draw from memory the whole sentence structure after you heard it, on the spot. That is how you can maximize the speed of learn spoken language. 这个系列中的这第一门课有7课，每课有两篇对话。每个对话用了两个讲座。第一个讲座中，我会用少量中文做中介语言教给你课文中的每个词句的意义， 但是重心在于当你了解词句的意义后，跟着我说会这些对话。在这个讲座中，你可以扫视你打印出来的PDF课文，便于对照生词的书写与发音。第二个讲座是表演录像，你可以复习对话，再跟着我说两遍。我没有在录像中加入英文字幕，因为我认为那样会分散你的注意力，让你不能回忆复述整个英文句子的结构。相反，你只会机械地拼出那些英文词，而不是从记忆中复制整个句子的结构，因此不能让你很快学会英文会话。第一个讲座后，你就不应该再看书面的PDF课文了，而是应该跟着我说，从口到口，像你学习母语那样，观察我发音的口型，尽可能准确地模仿我的发音和音调，听到一个句子后，当场从记忆中回忆复制整个句子结构。这样你才能最快速地学习口语。   You will see after four hours, you are able to speak, with near native-speaker accuracy and fluency some major situational dialogues in English, such as best place to live, Chinese schools of cuisine, criteria for purchasing goods, choose a major, benefits and harm of computer age, you will see your English soar in just four hours! 你会看到四个小时后，你就能够用接近母语说话者的准确和流利程度表达日常英语的各个情境对话，比如居住条件、中国菜系、购物标准、选专业、电脑的利弊等等话题，你会看到你的英语口语以难以想象的速度飞快进步！
