Happy learning!
We're in a period of exciting technological advancement, with AI tools like ChatGPT offering significant potential for HR efficiency. However, it's our fundamental responsibility to maintain a human-centric practice. No matter how sophisticated AI becomes, it cannot replicate genuine human connection. Our role is to use these tools to augment our work, not to outsource the essential human aspects of it. We must proceed with caution, ensuring that technology serves to enhance, rather than diminish, the human element in HR.
This video provides a step-by-step demonstration on how to do people analytics in ChatGPT. This video is quite detailed, so if you’re interested to learn about every step, feel free to watch the full video. Otherwise, feel free to skip through the video, take a look at some of the visual analytics that is displayed around the 6:30 minute mark, and then skip to the 20:30 minute mark to see some of the data-driven recommendations that ChatGPT gives to get a sense of the power of integrating ChatGPT with an analytics engine like Python.
Disclaimer: This lesson is a demonstration of the capabilities of ChatGPT as a people analytics interface. Due to privacy concerns, we do NOT recommend using ChatGPT for actual people data. Also, the demo shows an example analysis. These are not the same steps you would take if you actually analyze this data yourself.
Note: The connection with Noteable is displayed as "unverified" due to the plugin being upgraded while recording the video. If you would download the plugin, it will likely be "verified."

To add a plugin to ChatGPT, make sure you have a paid subscription, go to your settings, beta features, and enable plugins. This will allow you to select Plugins as part of the ChatGPT service. Note that this only works with GPT 4 and later versions.
Update: ChatGPT released an inbuilt data analysis plugin on July 6th, 2023, which is currently only available to ChatGPT Plus subscribers. These subscribers don't need the Noteable plugin to upload data sheets and analyze data in ChatGPT but can do so directly by uploading the dataset directly into the chat box. Please note that the same privacy concerns apply (your data may be used for training purposes by OpenAI).
