
Charisma, according to the Cambridge dictionary, is a special power that some people have naturally that makes them able to influence other people and attract their attention and admiration.
Others believe that it is the gift that allows you to create rapport and influence people to behave in a prescribed way. It is the competence to motivate others and make them devoted to you.
It is interesting to note that even though you are not deceitful, your body may still betray you and shatter your charisma. Isn't it unfair? You are being sincere and yet your body sends incongruent signals that arouse people's suspicion. This is simply because nervousness, apprehension or anxiety may produce signs of deception.
The non-verbal signals that stream from your body may create a positive or negative impression on the audience. If they are managed properly, you power of charisma increases. You become more appealing, engaging and more likeable. If you lose control of your non-verbal gestures, you are perceived as being nervous, confused and lacking authority. Your charisma suffers and you lose your leverage

During the first few minutes of your interaction with others, people will formulate an opinion of you. This impression in the majority of cases, remains indelibly imprinted in their memory. If the first impression is good, it will have a positive impact on your charisma and cement the way to a good relationship. People will be influenced by you if they are convinced that you have the expertise to perform efficiently and achieve success. Your ability to render infallible service will be the magnetic force that will captivate others. They will follow you because you have set the standards and are capable of supporting them whenever they encounter difficulties. You have the knowledge, so you have the power.
In order to boost your courage, it is important that you seek the right resources within you. It is unquestionable that you have had situations in the past when you were extremely confident and courageous. Even though fear was lurking somewhere beneath the surface of your conscious mind, you managed your thoughts effectively. You took the first step. You bypassed or overcame obstacles and reached your target.
During the conversation, encourage the other person to speak by nodding and asking relevant questions. Open questions will motivate the interlocutor to be creative and more expansive. This will also allow you to confirm your understanding.
