Requirements

  • Very basic knowledge in Procreate might be helpful, but don't worry you'll still learn a lot if you're very new to Procreate.
  • I'll be using Procreate on Ipad but feel free to use any kind of drawing app.

This class is all about illustrating fashionista characters alongside their animal companions, both wearing matching outfits, and elevating your character illustrations to new heights! This class offers you an opportunity to showcase your fashion sense.

Drawing characters might seem intimidating, but with a bit of guidance and practice, you'll soon be capable of creating your own. Since character drawing serves as the foundation for various illustration fields, this class will empower you to enhance your artwork across different domains such as patterns, interiors, nature, travel illustrations, and more. Your stylish characters will seamlessly integrate and enhance all of your creative works.

Join me as I show how to:

- Develop a character story and style

- Gather inspiration, and translate inspiration into your character design.

- Illustrate diverse body types, hairstyles, and even include an animal friend.

- Elevate your character's style and incorporate accessories and style elements.

- Create color palettes and color compositions.

- Apply color, texture, and details.

Throughout the course, I'll guide you through my process of creating fashionista characters. We'll delve into crafting character style narratives and experimenting with hairstyles, clothing, accessories, adding animal companions, and colors all aimed at making your characters truly stand out.

I've simplified some initial steps with cheat sheets, so you can promptly begin stylizing your fashionista creations. While I'll be utilizing Procreate for this class, feel free to work with any other drawing software of your choice.
