
You will begin this course by comparing yourself to a squirrel--no offense! I'll explain "Extreme Dissonance" and offer you the 7-minute writing challenge to bring some of your unsafe/defensive responses to the surface.
The ESITA Model will help you determine what thoughts and emotions to be stored in the “Pot” or or reprocessed in the “Pipe.” You’ll also understand the damaging role of shame in our thinking, and the blessing of Neuroplasticity.
You will learn in this section 5 types of trauma, and how you probably have one of these! You will take a Trauma Symptoms Assessment to show you mind what your heart has been trying to tell you. And you can see how our thoughts from mental unsafety mess with our marriage.
This section defines love! Did you know there’s an order that works best in your mentally safe attitude, your connecting, and serving? You will discover the options for facing trauma in marriage.
We will discuss the ramifications of addiction and trauma, introduce the “trauma brain,” and do some ESITA Processing based on trauma and addiction. We will address over - empathizing in marriage, and understand the messages of our heart in marriage.
