? Domain One: AI Fundamentals
This foundational module, representing 15% of the course, provides a comprehensive introduction to the core concepts and modern landscape of Artificial Intelligence.
You'll begin by establishing a clear understanding of What is AI and ML, exploring different Machine Learning Types, including Deep Learning, and learning to Compare and Contrast AI and ML.
The module then dives into modern AI applications, examining Generative AI, Predictive AI, Agentic AI, and others, along with the fundamentals of Natural Language Processing (NLP), Algorithms, and Large Language Models (LLMs). A whiteboard session will illustrate How AI Works at a high level, followed by an exploration of the 4 Pillars of AI Strategy and the Importance of Data in AI/ML, using real-world Use Cases in Finance and Logistics.
Finally, you'll gain practical skills in Prompt and Context Engineering, understand the technique of Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), and examine the critical Ethical Considerations with RAGs.
Congratulation you have completed the first module/course.
⚖️ Domain Two: AI Ethics Foundational Concepts
This module lays the essential groundwork for ethical AI practice, dedicating 20% of the course to building a robust conceptual understanding.
You will begin by Defining AI Ethics and mastering the Core AI Ethical Principles and Key AI Ethical Frameworks that drive Responsible AI Ethics and Governance, including an in-depth look at the Seven C's of AI.
We will critically analyze the potential for harm by identifying Sources of AI Bias, exploring the Ethical Challenges during development and deployment, and considering the broad Moral and Social Implications, such as the impact of AI and Job Displacement.
Crucially, you will gain practical knowledge on the Principles of Ethical Development and Deployment, understand the Role of an AI Ethics Officer—including their Roles and Responsibilities in Creating Ethical Policies, Frameworks and Practices—and learn how to establish effective Ethical Review Boards and Committees to ensure Ethical AI in a Changing Landscape.
? Domain Three: AI and Data Governance, Privacy and Compliance
This critical module, comprising 25% of the course, focuses on integrating AI ethics with robust data management practices.
You'll begin by mastering the Core Foundational Concepts of Defining Data Governance, Data Privacy, and Data Compliance, learning essential skills like Data Mapping and Inventory and conducting Privacy Impact Assessments (PIA), illustrated by a whiteboard session on Facebook (Meta) GDPR Compliance.
We will explore key Frameworks and Lifecycles, including how to implement the NIST AI Framework and Risk Management Frameworks, alongside guidance like FedRAMP AI Guidance and the role of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) in AI.
The module emphasizes Ethical Data Use, detailing the process of Creating, Applying, and Enforcing the Rules (Policies and Guardrails) for data, and applying these concepts to a vital Use Case: AI Ethics in Facial Recognition to ensure legal and ethical oversight of AI systems.
? Domain Four: AI Accountability, Transparency, and Explainability
This critical module, which constitutes 20% of the course, addresses the essential requirements for building trust in AI systems. We begin with The Need for Explainable AI (XAI), thoroughly Defining Explainable AI and exploring its Three Core Steps for application.
You will learn the distinctions between Interpretable vs. Explainable vs. Non-Interpretable Models (White Box vs. Black Box) and master specific XAI Methods like LIME and SHAP. A major focus is on Establishing Legal and Professional Accountability for AI risks and decisions, including the role of a strong Code of Conduct, effective Risk Management, and understanding the Cloud Shared Responsibility Model.
Finally, you will gain practical knowledge by exploring and choosing the right AI Enabled Tools and Platforms for AI Ethics Officers, including Bias Detection and Mitigation Tools, XAI Tools, and Governance and Risk Management Platforms, supported by demonstrations of real-world compliance examples.
