CCAP School Based Pre-Service Orientation (4hrs)

Prepare to become a certified seek care provider through the Louisiana Department of Education by understanding provider types, certification steps, health and safety standards, and program regulations for school-based care.

Understand state licensing requirements and the Seacat provider agreement, plus emergency preparedness and health and safety topics required for pre-service orientation and certification.

Upload verifications via cafe to receive seek care provider certification; if needed, fax or mail them, and follow the provider agreement, including tot's IVR attendance and mandatory reporting.

Support every dimension of development—physical, cognitive, social, emotional, and language—through developmentally appropriate practices and scaffolding, while fostering secure relationships and family collaboration.

Identify homeless children in publicly funded school programs, connect them with appropriate services, recognize signs of abuse and neglect, and report suspicions as mandated reporters to protect children.
